Revelation: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for Doctrine, for Reproof, for correction, for Instruction in Righteousness, that the man of GOD may be Complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (II Timothy 3:16, 17)
Salvation : “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17) "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Compassion : “ Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:37-40)
Church Function: "And He Himself gave some to be Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, and some Pastors and Teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the works of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…" (Ephesians 4:11,12)
Relationships with other churches: Common Ground is organized as a non-denominational church that emphasizes equipping people for works of ministry. At Common Ground, we recognize that sincere Christians may differ in understandings, but most of us share much in common, and we prefer to emphasize this common ground, rather than our differences. In this spirit, we try to treat other groups with respect and to work together in harmony whenever possible. In so doing, we hope to learn from one another and go a long way toward loving our neighbors as ourselves.
